Who Are We?

The Saudi Thoracic Society was established in 2002. The objectives of the Society are the advancement and promotion of knowledge of the respiratory system in health and disease. It shall strive to encourage research, improve clinical practice through teaching, increase awareness of health problems in the area and promote the exchange of knowledge among its members in Saudi Arabia. The specific aims of the Society are:

Promoting and coordinating activities in the field of respiratory medicine

Fostering research activities in the field of respiratory medicine

Organizing and coordinating regular national and regional meetings

Publishing a newsletter and a journal of international repute
